A 1963 Ford Falcon Restomod with 430hp 5.0L Coyote V8

This 1963 Ford Falcon restomod was auctioned without reservation by Barrett-Jackson at the Scottsdale event from January 22-30, 2022.

This Ford Falcon shares very little with the stock car and is finished in a striking color called Vivid Red Metallic. It also sports aftermarket wheels in a chrome finish and has door handles that match the bodywork. Other exterior highlights include the chrome front grille, chrome trim on the sides, and silver surround taillights.

The listing adds that the interior has undergone several modifications such as the exterior and now sport-specific ProCar bucket seats wrapped in tobacco-colored leather. The car also features a transmission tunnel and dashboard finished in the same Vivid Red Metallic color as the exterior.

Then there is the powertrain. Coming out of a hole in the bonnet is a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter Coyote V8 that pumps out 430 horsepower paired with a six-speed automatic transmission that drives the rear wheels through the Ford’s 9-inch rear end. The V8 also features a unique carbon fiber bonnet.

Joining the powerful new engine is Wilwood perforated and slotted disc brakes on all four corners, independent Checkered Racing front suspension, RideTech air-ride suspension and a custom exhaust system.

A pre-auction estimate was not announced, but Barrett-Jackson confirmed that the Falcone has received a number of awards over the years.
