An incredibly detailed, no-expense-spared tribute to the “Greatest Spectacle in Racing.” This GMC Sierra Grande, known as Syndicate Series 02, pays homage to the truck produced and awarded to the chief mechanic of the winning team of the 59th Annual Indianapolis 500.
Built with the exacting detail that Squarebody Syndicate is known for, with private track time alongside IMS president Doug Boles on the infamous brickyard of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway the night before the 2019 Indy 500.
The diecast toy version quickly sold out at over 4,000 Walmarts upon its release. This truck comes with its own collector toy counterparts, as well as framed original artwork. Under the hood – where Indy 500 winner, Bobby Unser, autographed the truck – lies a completely reimagined custom supercharged LS3 376ci V8 engine.
It features one-off billet valve covers, and meticulously detailed elements to pay tribute to Keith Block and his vision of the perfect small block that graced the cover of Hot Rod magazine in October 1979.
A custom Roadster Shop chassis plays home base for the AccuAir ENDO CVT suspension, paired with RideTech adjustable shocks and a track-proven hardline delivery for an extremely comfortable drive.
More one-off touches can be found at every viewpoint of the truck, from the turbine-style 20-inch billet wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires (295/30zr20 in the rear) to the solid billet grille and custom billet leather inlaid steering wheel, just to name a few.
Inside, the complete bespoke interior features rawhide leather seats designed specifically with age and wear in mind, with matching door panels.
Syndicate Series digital gauges and shortened Ididit steering column go well with a full chrome roll cage and creature comforts consisting of USB charging ports, full Bluetooth Kicker stereo, air conditioning and heat. Under the electronically raised bed floor you’ll find a completely finished weatherproof trunk space.
Additional components include Wilwood drop spindles, Baer Pro+ 14-inch brakes, Currie 9-inch aluminum third member, Detroit Truetrac differential with 1350 yoke/4.11 gears, TREMEC Magnum 6-speed manual transmission and a custom 28-gallon Boyd Welding fuel tank.
