This 1500HP 1970 Chevy Camaro by Roadster Shop is One Insane Muscle Car!

This 1970 Chevrolet Camaro by Roadster Shop is capable of 1,500 horsepower which is a supercar territory power figure.

Roadster Shop is the same company that built a custom Camaro for Joe Rogan not too long ago. While the Camaro Rogan has 850 horsepower, this example delivers nearly twice that and makes for a very wild ride.

At the heart of the Camaro is a 427-cubic-inch V8 from Nelson Racing Engines powered by a pair of 73mm turbochargers. Each of the eight cylinders has two fuel injectors and is mated to a 4L80 transmission with a valve body manual transmission, making it more engaging to drive than a typical automatic transmission.

The base chassis is based on a bespoke chassis built by Roadster Shop that can handle all 1,500 horses while making the Camaro even tougher and more fun to drive. The Roadster Shop also fitted Fox shocks that are adjustable in all four corners. What makes the car stand out even more is the fact that it is incredibly low profile. The team that built the car also managed to drop the floor by about 4 inches, which means the driver and passenger sit very low in the leather-trimmed Recaro CS Sportster seats.

Any car with high levels of power also needs big brakes, so Roadster Shop fitted the car with 14-inch Brembo brakes on all four corners. These brakes are behind a set of custom HRE wheels.
