The Roadster Shop completed work on a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro dedicated to comedian and broadcast maker Joe Rogan.
The Rogan Camaro is a classic SS version and was originally painted black with white racing stripes. It also had a 427-cubic-inch V8, but after the Roadster Shop was finished with it, the car now shares very little in common with its previous self.
Speaking of the car, the shop says Rogan wanted the car to retain its classic 1969 Camaro look without being over the top. The visual modifications started at the front end where the new shock absorber and chin spoiler were handcrafted. There’s also a one-off carbon fiber bonnet and a large set of HRE monobloc wheels painted matte black.
The Roadster shop also deleted the car’s original door handles and replaced them with more refined handles and latches from the C6 Corvette. There are also new billet and aluminum side gills that replace the factory units. Modifications continue at the rear with a custom rear spoiler similar to the original but slightly larger and splitting into three when the trunk is opened.
The original engine was also removed and replaced with a modified GM LSA V8 box engine that now pumps out approximately 850 horsepower thanks to a larger supercharger. This engine is mated to a Bowler T-56 Magnum XL manual transmission that powers the rear wheels.
We also learnt that the car has an all-new chassis that radically improves steering response and overhauls the way it rides thanks to the installation of adjustable Fox shocks and new sway bars.
